Blessing of the Fleet

Even though the 2020 Seafood Festival has been postponed, there will still be the Blessing of the Fleet, one of the most colorful events of the festival.  The event will be at Riverfront Park on Friday, November 6th, at 4 pm. Several clergymen will bless the parade of passing fishing, shrimping, and Charter Fishing vessels, as well as the recreational vessels from across the county. Any boat wanting to participate in the parade of boats will proceed from the north, starting at 4 pm near Scipio Creek toward the Bridge. The Blessing will occur in the middle of Riverfront Park. We encourage all who would like to have their boats blessed to participate.
