Darryl Tookes, Vocalist with Jazz Ballads & songs from the American Jazz Songbook for a Valentine’s Special

On Saturday, February 11, at 7:30 pm, Rio Carrabelle will feature exceptional musician Darryl Tookes. Darryl Tookes is a singer, composer, pianist, poet, arranger, and FAMU Music Industry Studies Director who brings over two decades of experience to his performances.

He has worked with many legendary music figures, including Roberta Flack, Aretha Franklin, Sting, Luther Vandross, Michael Jackson, Elton John, Barry Manilow, Diana Ross, Rod Stewart, Dionne Warwick, and many more. Darryl Tookes has sung on two Grammy Award-winning West Side Story albums, worked on Sting’s Grammy award-winning album, and performed at the White House.
